I started Paint the Town in 2016 as a fun hobby to get reacquainted with my childhood passion for art. I always considered myself artistic growing up, and dreamed of becoming an animator or full-time artist, but when it came time to choose a career, I “chickened” out of pursuing my dreams. Due to a crippling fear of failure, I instead got a job in corporate America, but spent many next years wondering “what if?”, yet also could not overcome the inertia to take action.
After a near-death accident in 2015, when a car hit me while crossing the street, I experienced first-hand the fragility of life and was on the cusp of a personal re-awakening. The most salient realization was that life was too short to be held back by doubts and excuses.
Supercharged to surround myself with people and practices that brought joy, I found that joy in leading paint nights and sharing the creative journey with others. Over the next few years, my one-woman show grew to a team of passionate instructors across California and, more recently, the entire US.
I still teach paint parties myself, as it is truly what I love to do, so you can find me at a party near you in Southern California!
No matter the format, and no matter your background, we at Paint the Town pledge to:
1. Help you express your story, values, and interests through art
2. Provide a safe, fun, and collaborative space for taking creative leaps
3. Surprise you with what can be made using your hands and a little imagination
From large corporate retreats to casual social nights, we thrive in serving occasions and guests of all backgrounds. As the only truly full service paint party company, we handle all the hard work for our clients – booking, scheduling, venues, instruction, supplies, support, and more. All you need is the date for your event!
